Selfie Point at City Railway Station: A clarification

Mysore/Mysuru: Following the publication of the news item titled ‘Cheer4India’ Selfie Point set up at City Railway Station’ in Star of Mysore dated July 2, 2021, South Western Railway (SWR) Commercial Superintendent S. Somashekar has clarified that he has not spoken against any individual or the SWR administration on the issue of certain sportspersons being featured in the selfies.

Somashekar, who is also the Vice-President of Karnataka Athletics Association and President of Mysuru District Athletics Association, employed presently with the SWR, has stated that the Selfie Point is not only for sportspersons but any rail-user to click photos and to upload in social media platforms to encourage the participants of the Tokyo Olympics.
