Mysuru/Mysore: Following are the events to be held tomorrow (Jan.24) as part of the Annual Jathra Mahotsava at Suttur Srikshetra in Nanjangud taluk:

4 am: Karthru Gadduge – Maharudrabhisheka; 6.30 am:  Kaahalli – Friendship March; 7.30 am: Shatsthala Dhwajarohana – Sri Siddeshwara Swamiji. Message – Sri Shivalinga Swamiji; 8 am: Sutturamma Temple – Abhisheka and special puja.

10.30 am: Inauguration of Seminar on Agriculture and Kite Flying Contest. Sri Allamaprabhu Swamiji and Dr. Sri Purushottamanandapuri Swamiji will grace the occasion. BJP National Gen. Secretary B.L. Santhosh presides. Excise Minister H. Nagesh inaugurates Seminar. MLA H.K. Patil inaugurates Kite Flying Contest. Legislators Dinesh Gundurao, Krishna Byre Gowda, S. Rudre Gowda and H.P. Manjunath, BJP UP State President Swatantra Dev Singh, CESC MD Dr. H.N. Gopalakrishna, Agriculture University VC Dr. S. Rajendra Prasad and Karnataka State Government Employees Association President C.S. Shadakshari chief guests. Speech by progressive farmers Rajashekar R. Nimbaragi (Vijayapura) and Dhareppa Parappa Kittur (Bagalkot).

4 pm: Valedictory of Seminar. Sri Abhinava Shivalinga Swamiji and Dr. Sri Shivanandapuri Swamiji will grace the occasion. Dy.CM Laxman S. Savadi presides. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad V. Joshi delivers valedictory address. Kerala Education Minister C. Ravindranath, Legislators R.V. Deshpande and Sandesh Nagaraj, MP Sumalatha Ambarish, Organic Farming Mission President Dr. A.S. Anand, DC Abhiram G. Sankar, Mysuru ZP CEO K. Jyothi and ICAR-ATARI Director Dr. M.G. Chandregowda chief guests. Lectures by progressive farmers S. Ashok Kumar (Kolar) and Mahalingaiah (Tumakuru); 6.30 pm: Sri Mahadeshwara Kondothsava; 7 pm: Quiz on Mahatma Gandhi’s Life and Message; 8.30 pm: Laksha Deepothsava; 9.30 pm: Sri Mahadeshwara Muttina Pallaki Uthsava, Gurubrahmothsava and Jangamothsava.

CULTURAL PROGRAMMES

At Gadduge premises — 8 am: Nadaswara; 9 am: Performance by folk troupes; 2 pm: Vachana Gayana and Folk Songs by Sharadadevi Mahila Samaja, Mysuru; 3 pm: Skit to create awareness on ‘Seizure’ by S. Venkatesh and team from NIMHANS, Bengaluru; 8 pm: Bharatanatyam by Vidu. S. Sowmyarani and troupe, Mysuru; 9 pm: Janapada and Tatvapada by Kannada Mahamadiyara Kala Balaga, Bengaluru.

At premises next to Government Higher Primary School — 7.30 pm: Sugama Sangeetha by Gandharva Gaana troupe, Suttur.

At Hiriyaramane premises — ‘Sri Prabhulinga Leele’ by Sri Gurumalleshwara Kala Balaga, Sharana Sangama Mutt, Devirammanahalli Layout, Nanjangud.

Sri Siddhananja Deshikendra Mangala Mantapa — ‘Bhakta Prahlada’ by Sri Kadagareshwara Krupaposhita Nataka Mandali, Varuna.

Premises next to Government Higher Primary School — ‘Daksha Yajna’ or ‘Shivaleela’ by Sri Badanavalu Siddeshwara Krupaposhita Nataka Mandali, Megalakoppalu, T. Narasipur taluk.
