Senior BJP leader passes away

Chamarajanagar: Senior BJP leader and Veerashaiva-Lingayat community leader K.S. Nagarajappa (76) passed away here on Monday night following prolonged illness.

Nagarajappa, a native of Kodimole in Chamarajanagar taluk, had served as the  Vice-President of the then undivided Mysuru ZP and also as the Vice-President of the State Unit of Akhila Bharatha Veerashaiva Mahasabha.

Nagarajappa, a resident of Court road in Chamarajanagar town, leaves behind his wife Chandramma, son Kumaraswamy, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at his farm at Kodimole this afternoon, according to family sources.
