‘Shakti – The Primordial Force’: Online Karnatak Music Festival from Dec. 15

December 11, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: CharSur Arts Foundation, a non-profit charitable trust created to support Karnatak music, will host the Karnatak Music Festival themed ‘Shakti – The Primordial Force’ online from Dec. 15 to 30.

The two-week-long concert will be available for live-streaming from the comfort of your home on www.charsur.in.live, a US-based online live-streaming platform.

With the festive season round the corner, options to celebrate are on hold for most in view of the pandemic. In the current climate, when it comes to the music industry, only the most creative and tech-savvy are thriving.

When the nation came to a standstill, so did the music industry. With the gradual reopening of the economy, safety is still a primary concern and gone are the days of large social gatherings.

CharSur Arts Foundation was quick to adapt and ensured that their audiences received their yearly dose of entertainment. They joined hands with In.Live, a US-based online live streaming platform to bring together a two-week-long concert which will be available for live streaming from your home.

The live-streaming culture is a natural welcome to those who want a complete concert experience keeping in mind the current limitations. Over the past few months, this shift in consumer perception has been embraced by artistes and concert organizers who are keen to  utilize technology to the fullest and use innovation to their advantage.

For the first time in its history, the concert will combine the colour and charm of traditional Karnatak music and will safely bring this experience to the people of India and the US through a live-streaming platform.

The music festival will offer high-quality audio and video streams. Additionally, the platform extends secure and integrated ticketing and viewing, which ensures that only ticket holders can view the performance and archives. Users with a valid season ticket can watch the performances post the livestream via vodcasts that will be available till mid January, 2021.

The live-stream festival will bring together thirty internationally acclaimed artistes like Sikkil C. Gurucharan, Jayanti Kumaresh, Gayathri Venkataraghavan, K. Bharath Sundar, Kunnakudi Balamuralikrishna, Amritha Murali, Sriranjani Santhanagopalan, Vignesh Ishwar and R.K. Shriram Kumar, among others.

Early bird tickets are quickly selling-out indicating a demand for a novel experience such as this. In.Live is making the process interactive and easy, offering high-quality video and audio, bringing the concert to life wherever you are. In.Live sees the collaboration as a natural progression to the state of global events and how people will experience them in the future.
