Short circuit destroys electronic gadgets

Mysuru: Short circuit has destroyed electronic gadgets at many houses and shops at Mahadeshwara Layout in city yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday at about 3 pm, an explosion sound was heard and within seconds, electronic gadgets such as TV, computer, Xerox machine, CFL bulbs, mobile phone chargers and other electronic gadgets in houses and shops between 8th and 11th Main Roads were destroyed.

Following the incident, power supply was disrupted and the residents lodged a complaint with CESC. The officials and staff of CESC, who arrived at about 6 pm, three hours after the incident, restored the power supply.
