Alleging that the administrative machinery has completely collapsed in the State, former PM and JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda has said that it seems Chief Minister Siddharamaiah has lost control over the administration. Speaking to press persons here yesterday, Deve Gowda said that officials were working within four walls, instead of venturing out to hear the problems of people.
Claiming that he had never seen such poor administration in his over 5-decade political career, the former PM observed that Siddharamaiah had some more time to bring the administrative machinery back on track.
Lashing out at the State Government for failing to tackle drought and farmer issues, Deve Gowda urged the CM to at least wake up now and take immediate measures for alleviating sufferings of the people, who are reeling under the worst drought in over four decades.
Criticising the Government’s handling of the Law and Order situation during Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s visit to Mangaluru recently, Deve Gowda wondered whether Mangaluru was under RSS rule.
“Is this the way to treat the Chief Minister of a neighbouring State?” he asked.
Deve Gowda threatened to stage an indefinite dharna in front of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s official residence if the Government fails to ensure drinking water to the people of Hassan district.
