Siddharamaiah will be thrown out of power in elections: A.H. Vishwanath

February 5, 2018

Mysuru: Asserting that Chief Minister Siddharamaiah will be thrown out of power in the forthcoming Assembly polls, former MP and JD(S) leader A.H. Vishwanath said that Siddharamaiah has no right to present a full Budget as the Congress will not come back to power in the State.

Addressing a press meet at a private hotel here on Saturday, Vishwanath accused the CM of destroying the State’s economy by making tall and false promises to lure voters ahead of the Assembly polls.

Criticising the CM for meeting clerics in the night, the former MP said that Siddharamaiah may feel ashamed of meeting them in the day.

Accusing Siddharamaiah of denying Dalits the Deputy CM’s post, he said that the JD(S) if voted to power, will make a Muslim as Deputy Chief Minister and also start a Muslim University on the lines of   Aligarh University.

Criticising Health Minister Ramesh Kumar for glorifying Universal Health Card Scheme, Vishwanath wondered how can it protect the health of people if the Government spends only Rs.40 per person.

Continuing his tirade against Siddharamaiah, the JD(S) leader alleged that Siddharamaiah formed a coterie around him and that some of the CM’s close associates were busy in looting the State’s exchequer.

Terming the Union Budget as mere slogans, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should clarify why he failed to keep his promise of implementing Swaminathan Committee recommendations.

Alleging that the Centre’s ‘Make in India’ campaign and demonetisation had failed to revive Banks which are hit by Non-Performing Assets (NPA), he criticised Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for not announcing farm loan waiver.
