Mysuru: City-based amateur theatre group ‘Abhiyenthararu,’ as a part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations, has organised a National Theatre Festival from Jan.30 to Feb.4.
The Theatre Festival features six plays of different languages, music concert, folk music, State-level Seminar, art, handloom and book exhibitions.
The Festival will be inaugurated by well-known Theatre & Film Director M.S. Sathyu at a function to be organised at Kalamandira on Jan.30 at 6.30 pm.
National School of Drama (NSD) Director C. Basavalingaiah and Karnataka Nataka Academy Chairman J. Lokesh will be present.
The State-level Seminar will be inaugurated by noted Theatre & Film Director Jayatheertha at Maneyangala in Kalamandira on Feb.4 at 10.30 am. The Art Exhibition will be inaugurated by noted artist P.S. Kumar at Suchitra Art Gallery in the premises on Jan.31 at 10.30 am.
As part of the Festival, Theatre Music and Dance Concert have been organised at Kindarijogi premises from Jan.31 to Feb.3 everyday from 5.30 pm onwards.
Entry tickets for each play is priced at Rs.100 and Rs. 50 and season tickets are available at Rs. 500 and Rs.250.
