I and almost all in my family have completed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. I convinced my daughter, who has never voted and never applied for a voter ID to apply now. I went online and with my daughter besides me filled up the online Form – 6, new voters’ registration successfully. The draft list is to be published on Aug.15.

On successful application only we got an acknowledgment that the application has been received and an acknowledgment number given. It’s been over a month now and there is no further communication from the Election Commission.

During the course of the SIR, two of the residents received by post, the voter id card. I don’t know if they applied for a new registration or re-issue of the voter’s ID.
