Verification Nodal Officer inspects digitisation, scrutiny of Forms

Mysuru: Following the instructions of Deputy Commissioner, who is also the District Electoral Officer (DEO), Deputy Secretary of Zilla Panchayat Bheemappa Alali, also the Verification Nodal Officer, inspected the process related to digitisation and scrutiny of Enumeration Forms as part of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, at Narasimharaja (NR) Assembly Constituency in city yesterday.

During the inspection, Alali visited some of the polling booths falling within the jurisdiction of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Zonal Offices- 7, 8 and 9.

Alali verified the progress of digitisation, quality and maintenance of records in compliance with the guidelines of Election Commission of India (ECI). The officers and staff were instructed to complete the process within stipulated period.

At Chamundeshwari

The Status Report of SIR process at Chamundeshwari Assembly Constituency in the district till 6 pm of July 22 is as follows: 100 percent progress has been achieved in the distribution of Enumeration Forms to 3.57 lakh voters (3,57,327) in 341 Polling Booths.

The digitisation process of Enumeration Forms is underway, with 1.86 lakh (1,86,828) forms accounting for 52.28% of the total forms, digitised. Over 90% percent progress has been achieved in 11 polling booths while 5,457 voters have submitted their Forms online. During the scrutiny of applications, 4,790 voters were found dead, 2,657 migrated elsewhere, 993 enrolled in other Constituency, 80 were either found untraceable or absent and 133 other     cases, totalling  8,653 voters.
