Mysore/Mysuru: Dhatri Umesh (U-15) and Diya Umesh (U-11) emerged winner and runner in their respective categories in VVCE Blitzkreig State-level Chess Championship held in city recently.

The Championship was organised by VVCE. Both of them are studying at National Public School (NPS), Vijayanagar. NPS has got the ‘Best School Award’ for the spectacular performance in the Tournament.

Daughters of Umesh and Brunda Umesh of Mysuru, the duo is trained under Suresh and Aravind Shastri at Mysore Chess Centre.
