Six persons held for chopping off rowdy-sheeter’s hand

Mandya: Maddur Police have arrested six persons for chopping off the hand of a rowdy-sheeter in Maddur recently.

The arrested have been identified as Suraj Gowda, Akshay, Revanth, Avinash, Abhikumar and Venugopal, all residents of Maddur and Mandya and aged around 25 years.

The accused, who came in a car on July 16 night, attacked rowdy-sheeter Varun, who was standing near a School in Leelavathi Layout in Maddur and chopped off Varun’s right hand before fleeing from the spot.

Maddur Police had registered a case in this regard.

Varun, who is facing charges in an attempt to murder case, was out on bail and had been to Maddur where the incident occurred.
