Release of water from Kabini Reservoir: Hadinarukallu Mantap in Nanjangud partially submerged

July 24, 2017

Hadinarukallu Mantap and the Bathing Ghat in Nanjangud taluk are partially submerged in swollen Kapila river following the release of water from Kabini Reservoir yesterday. This is in the wake of rise in inflow in the past one week due to incessant rain in Kodagu and Kabini catchment areas. Sources said that the water level in Kabini Reservoir today stood at 2,274.06 ft as against the maximum of 2,284 ft. Now, Kabini is 10 ft short of its full capacity and it has come as a great relief to the State.
