Srirangapatna: Even as Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy is busily engaged in campaigning for his son Nikhil, who is contesting as the coalition candidate from Mandya LS seat, smoke emanated all of a sudden from the CM’s car near Peehalli in the taluk last night, causing panic for a few moments.

Kumaraswamy was returning to Bengaluru in his Range Rover Car after a hectic campaign, when smoke billowed out of the car’s engine near Peehalli.

The car driver then soon stopped the vehicle and doused out the smoke. Later, Kumaraswamy continued his journey in another car, it is learnt.
