South Africa ‘A’ tour of India: City to play host for 2nd unofficial Test

After the KPL-2019 extravaganza, it’s time for some more cricket carnival as Mysuru will play host to the second unofficial Test match between India ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’ teams to be played at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium in Manasagangothri from Sept.17 to 20.

The match will feature some of the most talented and emerging players from both the sides including Shubman Gill, who is all set to make his Test debut for Indian against the touring South Africa side, K. Goutham and Karun Nair of Karnataka, Vijay Shankar and A. Easwaran, just to name a few. Meanwhile, players like Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi, Klaasen are some of the players to watch out for in the South African team.

In the first of the two unofficial Test match series played at Thiruvananthapuram, India ‘A’ had beaten South Africa ‘A’ by seven wickets.

The second match at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium in city will start at 9.30 am on Day 1. The entry for public is free and the KSCA Mysuru Zone has made sufficient arrangements for public to watch the game with ease.

South Africa ‘A’: Theunis de Bruyn, Dane Piedt, Aiden Markram (C), Lungi Ngidi, Khaya Zondo, Edward Moore, George Linde, Heinrich Klaasen (WK), Zubayr Hamza, Wiaan Mulder, Lutho Sipamla, Senuran Muthusamy, Pieter Malan and Marco Jansen.
