Mysuru/Mysore:  The Depart-ment of Computer Science, Maharani’s Science College for Women (Autonomous), had recently organised a special lecture on ‘Software Project Management,’ at Audio Visual Hall in the College premises. 

The resource person, Lakshmi Dixit, Senior Director, Zillow Company, Seattle, USA, addressed the students of B.Sc and BCA. During her talk, she highlighted the current trends in software engineering and motivated the students to learn new technologies such as JAVA, Python and Android.  She also encouraged the students to take up small project works in each semester so that they can bridge the gap between industrial requirements and class room teaching. During her interaction with the students, she stressed the need for adaptation of the concepts learnt in their curriculum to suit the changing requirements. 

College Principal Prof. Shivappa Shanthappanavar presided. Computer Science HoD Dr. K.S. Manjunath and other faculty members were present.
