Sri Krishnadevaraya Jayanti celebrations on Feb. 16

Sri Kaiwara Tataiah Balija Naidu Okkuta will be celebrating 549th Jayanti Utsava of Sri Krishnadevaraya on Feb. 16 at 10 am in Institution of Engineers, JLB Road in city. Addressing a press conference at Patrakartara Bhavan, General Secretary of the Okkuta B.E. Rakesh said that as part of the celebrations, Pratibha Puraskar will be presented to meritorious SSLC and 2nd PU students belonging to Balija community. Interested students of Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu districts may submit their applications to the Okkuta Office located in Ramakrishnanagar before Feb. 8. The programme will also feature Krishnadevaraya fancy dress contest for children aged 3 to 12 years at 10 am. Interested children can register at the spot.
