Sri Ramakrishna Jayanti and Annual Celebrations of RK Ashram

Mysuru: The 190th Jayanti celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa will be held at Sri Ramakrishna (RK) Ashram in Yadavagiri here on Mar. 1 and Annual Celebrations of the Ashram will be held from  Mar. 2 to 5 as follows:

Mar. 1 — 5.15 am: Vedic Chanting; 5.30 am: Mangalarati and Bhajans; 7.30 am: Special Puja; 8 am: Vishnusahasranama Chanting; 9 am: Bhajans; 10.30 am: Reading of selected passages; 10.45 am: Mahamangalarati; 11 am: Homa; 12 noon: Prasad distribution; 4.30 pm: Bhajans by Sri Sharada Samvit Bhajana Mandali; 6 pm: Discourse in Kannada on ‘Sri Ramakrishna’s Life and Teachings’; 7 pm: Sandhyarati and Special Bhajans.

Mar. 2 — 5.30 pm to 5.45 pm: Sandhyarati; 5.45 pm to 6.45 pm: Discourse in Kannada on ‘Relevance of Sri Ramakrishna to Modern Society’ by Akshaya Gokhale, Lecturer & Columnist, Karkala; 6.45 pm to 8.15 pm: Yakshagana ‘Krishnaleele Kamsa Vadhe’ by Karavali Yakshagana Mandali, Mysuru.

Mar. 3 — 5.30 pm to 5.45 pm: Sandhyarati; 5.45 pm to 6.45 pm: Discourse in Kannada on ‘Swami Vivekananda – A Universal Ideal’ by Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswati, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashram, Gadag-Vijayapura; 6.45 pm to 8.15 pm: Flute recital by Pt. Ravi Shankar Mishra, renowned Hindustani flautist, Mysuru   and Troupe.

Mar. 4 — 5.30 pm to 5.45 pm: Sandhyarati; 5.45 pm to 6.45 pm: Discourse in Kannada on ‘Jeevana Shilpi – Shrimate Sharadadevi’ by Swami Mokshatmanandaji, Ramkrishna Mission Ashram, Belagavi; 6.45 pm to 8.15 pm: Gana Keertana on Holy Trio by Surmani Dr. Dattatreya Velankar, renowned Hindustani Vocalist, Bengaluru and Troupe.

Mar. 5 — 5.30 pm to 5.45 pm: Sandhyarati; 5.45 pm to 6.45 pm: Introductory Talk by S. Balaji, retd. Principal, Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, Mysuru; Talk in Kannada on ‘Swami Vivekananda Ideas on Social Service’ by Nityananda Vivekavamshi, Founder, Viveka Vidyavahini Trust, Mysuru.
