Sri Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda Holy Trio Jathra Mahotsava from Feb. 16

Mysuru/Mysore: Sri Ramakrishna Balaga, Sri Ramakrishna Seva Kendra and other organisations have jointly organised a three-day Sri Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda Holy Trio Jathra Mahotsava from  Feb. 16. 

A preliminary meeting was held in this context at Ramakrishna Ashrama here yesterday under the presence of Ramakrishna Ashrama President Sri Muktidanandaji, Ramakrishna Vidyashala Head Sri Yukteshanandaji and Ramakrishna Institute of Mental and Spiritual Education (RIMSE) Head Sri Shivakantanandaji.Former MLC D. Madegowda of Ramakrishna Balaga briefed on the event structure and arrangements.

A publicity campaign will be held at Ramakrishnanagar, Sharadadevi Nagar and Vivekanandanagar, areas named after the holy trio. Special discourses will be held in Sharadadevi Nagar on Feb.16 and in Vivekanandanagar on Feb.17.  

A procession carrying Sarada Devi’s portrait will commence from Sharadadevi Nagar Circle on Feb.18 evening and a procession carrying a portrait of Swami Vivekananda will commence from Vivekanandanagar Circle. Both will converge at Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Circle from where Ramakrishna Rathotsava will commence.

For publicity of the event, ‘Viveka Sanchara,’ an unique way to convey information about the event would be held door-to-door in Sharadadevi Nagar from Feb. 8 to Feb.10,  in Vivekanandanagar from Feb. 12 to Feb.14 and in Ramakrishnanagar from Feb.15 to Feb.17. 

The campaign will also be held at selected parks in the area from 6 am to 8 am; at schools and colleges from 11 am to 1 pm; at Sthree Shakti groups, from 3 pm to 5 pm and at temples from 6 pm to 8 pm.
