Mysuru Zone, taking part in the U-23 Sri S.A. Srinivasan Memorial U-23 Inter-Mofussil Tournament 2018, kept winning by registering two wins in their two games against Tumakuru Zone (by seven wickets) and over Raichur Zone (by 84 runs) in the matches played at Green Sports Village Grounds and Aditya Global Grounds in Bengaluru on June 12 and 13 respectively.

In the first game, Mysuru Zone’s medium-pacer K. Shashank bowled an inspiring spell and came up with a rich haul of five for 34 and helped their team bowl out Tumakuru Zone for 84 in 30.4 overs. Kishan S. Bedare chipped in with two wickets for three runs.

In reply, Mysuru Zone scored 87 for three in 12.4 overs and registered a seven wicket win. B. Dheemanth top scored with 41 runs. In the second match, Mysuru Zone registered a 84 run win over Raichur Zone. Batting first, Mysuru Zone, helped by useful scores by S. Ankith (57), skipper M.B. Darshan (44 n.o.) and M. Utham Aiyappa (31), posted 228 in 49.5 overs.

In reply, Raichur Zone were bowled out for 146 in 37.5 overs. Sourabh Muttur (60) top scored for Raichur Zone. M. Utham Aiyappa (three for 15), K. Shashank (two for 16) and Thushar Harikrishna (two for 35) were the chief wicket-takers for Mysuru Zone.
