Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be observing ‘Dikshitar’s Day’ on Sunday (Nov. 6) at Sri Vidyabharathi Prarthana Mandira, Sri Chandramouleeshwara Temple premises, V.V. Mohalla.

Sri Muthuswamy Dikshitar (1775-1835) is revered as one of the musical trinity of Karnataka Classical Music.

Many senior musicians of the city will be participating in the event along with their disciples and will render Dikshitar’s compositions from 9.30 am to 11 am.

The highlight of the day will be a vocal concert by renowned senior musician and scholar, Prof. R. Visweswaran.

Eminent violinist Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy will accompany him on violin, while Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar will provide mridanga support.
