Srirangapatna Chalo: VHP stages dharna

June 4, 2022

Hundreds of members of Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP), who had planned Srirangapatna Chalo today, staged a dharna at Dasara Bannimantap near Kirangur Circle along Mysuru-Bengaluru Road this morning, after being refused entry to Srirangapatna town by the authorities. The protestors instantly consecrated a Hanuman idol at the site and chanted Ram and Hanuman bhajans to register their protest. [Pic. by Vinay Karekura]
