SSLC exam begins

Mysuru: The SSLC Exam (2018-19) conducted by the State Government, began with over 36,000 students from across the district appearing for the first language paper this morning.

The exam is being held at 138 centres in the district, including 46 in the city. The exam will conclude on April 4 with third language paper.

CCTV Cameras were installed at all rooms at every centre to check any malpractice and there were no reports of copying or other malpractices on the first day of the exam today, according to sources.

Vigilance squads led by DDPI Panduranga, DIET Director Mahadevappa, EO Shivaram, Nodal officer Rajashekar visited some of the exam centres.

KSRTC free travel

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to allow student pass holders to travel free in its buses (city, suburban, ordinary and express) between their residence and allotted exam centres. KSRTC, in a release said this would be available from Mar. 21 to Apr. 4, on production of hall ticket and student concessional pass.
