Mysuru: An incident of a SSLC student committing suicide by hanging self has been reported from Belawadi here yesterday.

The deceased student has been identified as Varalakshmi (16), a native of H.D. Kote, who was studying at the Government High School at Yelwal and staying at the Girls Balamandira in Vijayanagar 4th stage in city.

Police said that Varalakshmi who had written three exams had gone to her aunt’s house in Belawadi, where she committed suicide when the family members were away. Vijayanagar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
