Start city bus service around Ring Road

September 3, 2022

Sir,

This refers to the recent letter titled “Provide city bus facilities around Ring Road” in Star of Mysore.  I also strongly second the correspondent’s thoughts and urge the Mysuru city KSRTC authorities to consider this request and implement the service around Ring Road at the earliest.

I stay in Hebbal and if I need to go to Bogadi or reach Hunsur road, I have to all the way go to city bus stand to reach these desired place. This is just an example. Lot of young employees working in different areas are struggling, catching two or three buses or using their two-wheelers to reach their destination that too in peak hours which is very horrible experience.

Introducing regular city bus service along the Ring Road will be a boon to commuters in large numbers. It will also motivate travellers to opt for public transport and minimise air pollution created by two-wheelers who travel across the city when they want to reach the other part of the city.
