State-level Chutuku Sahitya Sammelana from tomorrow at Tumakuru

Mysuru: The 20th State-level Chutuku Sahitya Sammelana will be held at Yediyuru in Tumakuru on Sept. 9 and 10. The Sammelana will be inaugurated by former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa at 4 pm tomorrow.

MP D.K. Suresh will preside. Legislative Council Chairman K.S. Eshwarappa will release the felicitation volume Renuka Soubhagya Nidhi. Chutuku Sahitya Parishat State Chief Convenor Dr. M.G.R. Urs will be the chief guest. Kavitha Krishna will be the President of the two-day meet.

Rambhapuri Mutt Seer Sri Prasanna Renuka Veerasomeshwara Shivacharya Bhagavatpada will grace the occasion.

On Sept. 10, the Chutuku Kavighosti will be inaugurated by poet Dodda Rangegowda at 9 am.  Sri Shivananda Shivacharya Swamiji of Tumakuru and former MLC Thontadarya will be present. Around 150 limerick (chutuku) poets from 30 districts will take part in the event.

Adichunchanagiri Mutt Seer Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji will grace the valedictory ceremony at 4pm. Kunigal MLA D. Nagarajaiah will preside. Former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy will release the commemorative stamp on Renuka Shivacharya Mahaswamiji. Former Minister M.Shivanna will give away the Chutuku Sri Award. Writer Ratna Halappa Gowda will be the chief guest.
