Mysuru: MSRIT, Bengaluru, won the State-level Inter-Collegiate Men’s Cricket Tournament organised by MIT, Tandavapura, in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), here recently.
In the final match hosted at MIT Tandavapura, MSRIT, Bengaluru, defeated RVCE, Bengaluru. Meanwhile, BMSCE, Bengaluru, won the third place and SIT, Tumakuru, secured fourth place.
The prizes to winners were distributed by VTU Regional Physical Education Director H.C. Sudina and Maharaja Education Trust (MIT) Joint Secretary Dr. H.K. Chethan. MIT Tandavapura Principal Dr. Y.T. Krishnegowa, Dr. Shankar N. Upadyay and MIT Tandavapura Physical Education Director J. Arogya Alwin were present.
A total of 16 teams from various colleges had taken part in the tournament.
The matches were played at MIT Tandavapura College Grounds, JSS-SJCE Grounds, Coffee Board Grounds, Manasagangothri in Mysuru and PESCE Grounds in Mandya.
