Belagavi team bags first place in men and women’s category

Mysore/Mysuru: Sports Organisation of Physically Handicapped and Karnataka State Wheelchair Rugby Association had jointly organised the Second State-level Wheelchair Rugby Tournament at SJCE College Grounds in city recently.

Teams from Belagavi, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Gadag and Mysuru took part in the tournament in which the Belagavi team secured the first place.

Teams from Bagalkot and Vijayapura bagged second and third place respectively. In the women’s category Belagavi team secured the first place while Bagalkot team bagged second place and Mysuru team secured the third place. Karnataka Sports Association for Physically Handicapped (KSAPH) and Arjuna Awardee M. Mahadeva inaugurated the tournament. Inner Wheel Club of Mysore Gold President R. Prathibha, Rugby Association President Mahadesh Chandra, Secretary Prabhuswamy, Team Manager Kiran Kumar, Sports Organisation for Physically Handicapped Secretary Mahesh Gowda, Vice-President R. Rama Chandru and others were present.
