State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament: Akash, Niharika bag Sub-Junior titles

K.J. Akash (SKIES) and A. Niharika (MSS) won the titles in the Sub-Junior Boys & Girls sections respectively on the penultimate day of Sri Ghisulal-Salubai Pitliya Memorial Cup 2019 — Karnataka State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament held at the University Gymnasium Hall here yesterday.

Sub-Junior Singles

Boys — Final: K.J. Akash bt P.V. Srikanth Kashyap (Conceded due to injury during the match); Semi-finals: K.J. Akash (SKIES) bt P. Yeshwanth (Pon) 8-11, 11-5, 11-2, 11-9; P.V. Srikanth Kashyap (SKIES) bt Sujan R. Bharadwaj (WIN) 11-8, 11-9, 11-8.

Girls — Final: A. Niharika (MSS) bt Karruna Gajendran (SBT) 13-11, 11-6, 11-8; Semi-finals: A. Niharika bt Sahana H. Murthy (WIN) 3-11, 9-11, 11-8, 16-14, 12-10; Karruna Gajendran bt Trupti Purohit (MSS) 11-5, 12-10, 9-11, 9-11,12-10.
