State to get two more Oxygen Express

Hubballi: Two more Oxygen Express trains carrying a total of another 240 Metric Tonnes of Medical Oxygen to Karnataka are on their way from Kalinganagar, Odisha and Tatanagar in Jharkhand and are expected to reach the Inland Container Depot at Whitefield near Bengaluru today, according to an official press release issued by the Headquarters of the South Western Railway (SWR), here yesterday.

It may be recalled that the first Oxygen Express from Tatanagar (Jamshedpur) had reached Whitefield on May 11 with a load of 120 Metric Tonnes of Medical Oxygen. Each trains are carrying 6 Cryogenic Containers containing 120 Metric Tonnes Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) amounting to a total of 240 Metric Tonnes of Medical Oxygen, the press release added.
