State-wide protest if Vishnu Memorial does not come up

September 17, 2017

Mysuru: Karnataka Rajya Sahasa Simha Dr. Vishnuvardhan Abhimanigala Okkuta State President C.V. Manjunath has warned of a State-wide protest if the State Government does not initiate construction of a Memorial in the name of the late actor by resolving all the confusion and issues dogging the proposal for the last three years.

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Manjunath said that the Government still being indecisive on the plot for construction of Vishnu’s Memorial was just an indication of lack of seriousness and responsibility of the Government.

He regretted that it was an insult to such a great actor.

He further said that the Okkuta was providing a time of 15 days for the Government to sort out legal hassles and identify a place for the Memorial.

He added that in the meanwhile an action plan would be chalked out in a preliminary meeting to stage the State-wide protest.
