Steps taken to plug flow of sewage water to Banumaiah premises

December 30, 2019

Mysuru: The students and staff of D. Banumaiah College and Girls’ High School on Sayyaji Rao Road were in constant agony as sewage water from the adjoining commercial complex was overflowing from a manhole flooding its premises. Surprisingly, the MCC Main Office is located close to the premises with no action taken for a long time.

The School and College Management Committee and MCC Health Officers held a meeting recently and arrived at a solution to stop the perennial problem.

Management Committee Head Dr. V.B. Jayadev told Star of Mysore that the Committee has decided to get a separate line laid for the sewage water coming from the commercial complex and added that an engineer had inspected the spot to design the work. He assured that later on there would be no such problem with the sewage water.
