Stop ‘Free Left Turn’ near Race Course signal

December 7, 2023

Sir,

The vehicular traffic on M.G. Road connecting Race Course has increased manifold, particularly after the Karanji Tank Bund road was closed.

Though the traffic signal at Race Course Circle is operational, vehicles coming from Mysuru Zoo side — most of them KSRTC and Private buses — take left turn, ignoring the signal and risking the lives of other road-users who follow traffic signal.

It is, therefore, necessary that “Free Left Turn” is totally stopped at the Race Course traffic signal junction in the interest of safety of road-users.

Hope, the Traffic authorities concerned will look into this problem and initiate appropriate action at the earliest.
