Stop the stench from this stormwater drain

September 22, 2024

Sir,

The stormwater drain near Krishna Bakery at Hootagalli is emitting a foul odour, making it difficult for the nearby residents to keep their doors open.

This issue stems from the lack of an Underground Drainage (UGD) line for the Belavadi area, which borders a nearby layout. As a result, wastewater is being discharged into the rainwater drain.

With dengue cases already  on the rise in the city, the Hootagalli Municipality and the District Administration must act swiftly and find a lasting solution to this problem.
