Mysuru: The Investiture Ceremony of The Orchids Public School and PU College for the academic year 2018-19 was  held recently.

Col. M.P. Arvind, Commanding Officer, 14 Karnataka Battalion, NCC, Mysuru, administered the oath to the elected leaders and conferred badges and sashes.

Disha A. Gowda, the newly elected President and Nithin K. Gowda, the Prime Minister, took the pledge to hold the school motto duty, discipline and dedication in high esteem.

The other Ministers inducted to the School Cabinet are Tejaswini – Cultural Minister, Vishesh S. Gowda – Sports     Minister, Girijesh – Discipline Minister, Sagar – Transport Minister and Ashika – Environment Minister.

The Installation Ceremony of Interact Club of Mysore Central at Teresian Convent Girls High School for the year 2018-19 was held recently.

Rtn.Sunil L. Baliga, Assistant Governor, Zone-7, RI District 3181,  was the chief guest. Rtn. A.V. Sridhar, President, Rotary Central Mysore, Rtn. Prem Narayan, Hon. Secretary, Rotary Central Mysore, Rtn. Jayaprakash, Past Asst. Governor and Sister Lovita, Head Mistress, Teresian Convent Girls High School, were the guests of honour.

Teacher coordinators P.K. Shwetha and Harish were the Co-ordinators of Interact Club, Teresian Convent Girls High School. Rtn. Anthony Moses, Youth Generation Director, Rotary Central Mysore  and Physical Education Director, Teresian College, Mysuru, were on the dais.

The outgoing Interact Past President H. Vandana welcomed the gathering. Rtn. Sunil Baliga installed the new team. The incoming Interact President  N.M. Dhruvika gave the acceptance speech. Rtn. A.V. Sridhar spoke about the activities of the Interact Club. The dignitaries on the dais also spoke about the importance of the Social Service. Interacter Manvi Jain proposed a vote of thanks.

The Programme was compered by Interacters Priya and Varsh R. Rao.

An election to the Student Council of Pragathi Vidya Kendra was held recently and the office-bearers were installed during the Investiture Ceremony held  on Aug.4.

Student leaders are as follow: Head Boy – V. Yashwanth (Class X); Head Girl – Aishwarya (Class X); Vice Head Boy- Manoj Kumar (Class X); Vice Head Girl – Saivinayashree (Class X); House Captains –  Hemanth (Ruby House), H.M. Chandan (Diamond House), Chetan Kumar (Emerald House), Naresh Kumar (Sapphire House).

The following students have been elected for the Avenues of Service: Discipline Prefect – Varun; Sports Captain – Nivas; Chief Editor – P. Ramita and Cultural Co-ordinator – B.R. Gagana.

B.V. Rupashree, Chief Inspector, Lokayukta, was the chief guest. She took salute and administered the oath to all the office-bearers.

Chairman V. Venkatesh, Administrator Karthik V. Kashyap, Principal Jayashri, Trustee Members K. Govindraju and P. Rajaratnam, Head Mistress Kousalya and staff members were present on the occasion.
