Student submits fake marks card for cash prize

Mysore/Mysuru: A girl student created a fake marks card and submitted the same along with an application for the special cash prize given by the Social Welfare Department. The Department gives Rs. 25,000 cash prize to SC/ST students for scoring high marks and the girl student, studying in Yuvaraja’s College, had submitted a copy of the fake marks card of first semester exam for the cash prize in 2021.

Officials, who went through the documents, found that the marks card copy submitted by the girl was fake and the College’s Mathematics HoD attesting the fake marks copy has given rise to doubts.
