Students asked to develop scientific temperament

Mysuru: Rotary Club of Mysore West, in association with Rotary West School and Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishat, celebrated National Science Day at Rotary School, opposite Kamakshi Hospital, Saraswathipuram in city recently.

Speaking as the chief guest, Vijnana Parishat’s R. Anantharamu said that the Day is being celebrated with an aim of developing scientific temperament among students and youths and to educate them on the achievements of great scientists.

Giving a brief on the contribution of Sir C.V. Raman to the world of Science, he said that C.V. Raman had some innovative thinking on self-respect, patriotism and women’s education.

Pointing out that C.V. Raman was a great inspiration for the younger generation, Anantharamu exhorted the students to be always innovative and bring laurels to their parents and the educational institutions.

Parishat Member Srimathi Hariprasad, in her address, called upon the students to develop an interest towards Science for innovation. Rtn. C.R. Hanumanth too spoke on the occasion.

Parishat State Member Krishnegowda distributed prizes to the winners of various ccontest onthe occasion.

School Head Mistress Vatsala Kumar, Treasurer Suryanarayan and others were present.
