The Cultural Forum and the NSS Wing of Maharani’s Arts College, had organised an awareness programme on Road Safety at the College premises here yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, RTO Senior Motor Vehicle Inspector S.T. Satish said that riding or driving a vehicle erratically and irresponsibly would cost life and advised the students to wear helmets while riding two-wheeler and to fasten the seat belts while driving a four-wheeler.
He opined that everyone should abide the road safety guidelines like following the lane discipline, not to overtake vehicles from the left side, avoid unnecessary honking and not to jump traffic signals. Satish said that most of the road accidents could be prevented if every road users obey traffic rules.
