Students get tips on ‘Anchoring’ by TV host Jayaprakash Nagathihalli

Mysuru: A three-day training programme on ‘Anchoring’ organised by Centre for Proficiency Development and Placement Services (CPDPS) of University of Mysore commenced at its premises in Manasagangothri here yesterday.

About 60 students from various colleges in city are attending the programme which features training in communication skills, time management, professional ethics, presentation and anchoring skills.

Inaugurating the programme, Jayaprakash Nagathihalli, Doordarshan TV Host, who is the key trainer at the programme observed that many candidates were not confident to face interviews for lack of confidence and skills.

He pointed out that writing skill was very important to pick up a language and not just speaking skill. He distributed a motivational book ‘Feel not Failures’ and its Kannada version authored by him. CPDPS Director Dr. Niranjan Vanalli and Trainer Mangala were present.
