Students hold heads high, with their degrees

Mysuru: The second convocation of JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) for post graduates was held at SJCE campus, Manasagangotri in city on Saturday.

Of the 415 candidates, 167 M.Tech, 15 M.Sc. Chemistry, 68 MCA, 107 MBA, 37 MBA Corporate Finance and 21 MBA Retail Management candidates were awarded degree in their respective stream of studies. In all, 17 medals were awarded to candidates who had scored the highest marks in their respective disciplines and 5 received endowment medals.

T.L. Pooja of M.Tech Automotive Electronics, B. Ramya of Biomedical Single Process and Instrumentation, K.N. Namrata of Computer Engineering, V. Prajwal of Data Science, M.S. Ananthakrishna of Energy System and Management, P. Mallikarjun of Environmental Engineering, K.P. Tejaswini of Industrial Electronics, K. Dinesh of Infrastructure Engineering and Management, S. Chetankumar of Material Science and Engineering, S. Akshata of Networking and Internet Engineering and R. Ramyasri of Software Engineering were the toppers. M. Hematvati was topper in M.Sc Chemistry, M. Arun in MCA, Pratika Shetty in MBA, N.J. Adreeja in MBA (Corporate Finance) and L. Harshita in MBA (Retail Management).

Speaking after inaugurating the event, Additional Chief Secretary for Higher Education Rajkumar Khatri called upon the graduates to join hands for the development of the society, as they have a major role to play in the growth of the nation.

Suttur seer Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji, Executive Secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha C.G. Betsurmath, Vice-Chancellor of JSS STU Dr. L. Jawahar Nesan, Registrar of JSS STU Dr. K.S. Lokesh, Technical Advisor of Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha M.H. Dhananjaya and Prof. K.N. Udaykumar were among those present.
