Students should think of future life while in college itself: Javagal Srinath

Mysuru: Observing that in this era of globalisation and fierce competition, students should think of their future life during college days itself, cricketer Javagal Srinath has underlined the need for students to enhance their level of thinking to meet modern day challenges.

He was speaking after inaugurating the cultural, literary and sports forums at JSS Girls PU College at Saraswathipuram here this morning. Highlighting the need for keeping updated on the goings on in the world, Srinath said the students should seek to expand their horizon of knowledge.

Recalling his student days in Mysuru, Srinath said that he had never even thought of representing the Indian Cricket team.

Noting that enriching talent was much more important than having money, he said that fine-tuning of our inherent talent would take us to greater heights.

Emphasising on the need for learning English in this global era, he said that English will help develop our communication skills. Calling upon the students to shun inferiority complex, he said that they should look at building over their capabilities and at leading a secured life.

SP Ravi D. Channannavar was the chief guest. PU College Principal M.P. Rajeshwari, Degree College Principal Dr. K.V. Suresh, JSS Mahavidyapeetha Collegiate Education Asst. Director B. Niranjan Murthy, College faculty Shivakumar were present.
