Subramanya Sashti tomorrow: Traffic diverted on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway from today midnight

Mysuru:  Police have diverted the traffic on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway from today midnight till Dec.13 midnight on account of Subramanyeshwara Sashti Jatra at Siddalingapura tomorrow.

With thousands of devotees expected to take part in the Jatra, Police have made elaborate security arrangements.

City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subramanyeswara Rao has stated in a press release that buses plying from city towards Bengaluru must go through KRS Road – Pump House route after taking left near Columbia Asia Hospital, while KSRTC buses from Sub-Urban Bus Stand must pass through Male Mahadeshwara Road – Bannur Road.        

A large number of Police personnel and Revenue Department employees have been deployed for security in the temple premises from 3 pm today to 11 pm tomorrow.

On Ashoka Road: Various rituals like Sahasranamarchane, padapuje and abhisheka will be performed at Sri Mukkanneshwaraswamy temple on Ashoka Road in city as part of  Sri Naganandaswamy Jayanti on Dec. 13 at 7 am. At 6.30 pm, bhajans will held at Sri Mukkanneshwara temple and discourse by Sri Ravikanthanandaswamy. Mangalarathi and prasada at 8 pm.  

On Dewan’s Road: Special pujas and homas will held at Sri Amrutheshwaraswamy Temple, Dewan’s Road in city on Dec. 13 from 10 am. Sri Subramanyeshwaraswamy Homa, Kuja Dosha, Nagadosha Nivarana Homa, Kalasarpa shanti homa and deeparadhane will held in the evening as part of Sashti.
