December 19, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Entry of devotees to Sri Subramanya Temple at Siddalingapura on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway has been banned on Dec. 20 on the occasion of ‘Subramanya Shashti.’

Following orders from Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, Mysuru Taluk Tahsildhar Rakshit held a meeting with Temple Chief Priest Subramanya and Panchayat Development Officer to discuss precautionary steps.

At the meeting, it was decided that Revenue Inspector, Police, Village Accountant and PDOs must be present at the main entrance to prevent people from entering the temple. The Police must ensure that the stalls are not put on either sides of the temple and no vehicle must be allowed to be parked on the Highway. Distribution of prasada by devotees has been banned.

The Chief Priest said this time, the celebration would be restricted to Mahanyasapurvaka Rudrabhisheka at 5 am, followed by Panchamruthabhisheka, Sahasranamarchane.
