Bengaluru: Actor Prakash Rai has said independent candidate Sumalatha Ambarish is a better choice than JD(S)-Congress coalition candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy in Mandya LS seat.

Speaking at a media interaction meet at Bengaluru on Thursday, Prakash Rai who himself is contesting as an independent candidate from Bengaluru (Central) LS Constituency, said he feels that Sumalatha is far more experienced and mature than Nikhil when it comes to issues and ideologies.

Maintaining that he would not oppose family politics, he said there is nothing wrong if a person from a political family jumps into politics if he/she has the qualities and experience.

Asserting that he does not like to see Narendra Modi as the PM again, he however said that he has nothing personal against Modi, but he opposed only his policies and style of functioning.
