Support BJP candidates in LS Polls, Sriramulu appeals Nayaka community

April 7, 2019

Mysuru: State BJP leader and Molakalmuru MLA B. Sriramulu has appealed the members of Nayaka community to support BJP candidates in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar constituencies as the party had strived hard for inclusion of the communities, namely, ‘Parivara and Talawara’ as synonym of ‘Nayaka’ at SI. No. 38 in the list of STs of Karnataka.

Addressing a media conference at a private hotel here this morning, he said that BJP leaders including himself, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha, State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa, Vice-President V. Sreenivasa Prasad, Union Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, late Union Minister H.N. Ananth Kumar and others had made all efforts for the passage of this Bill in the Lok Sabha.

He said that the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Second Amendment) Bill, 2019 was introduced in Rajya Sabha on Jan.9, 2019 by the Minister of Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram. The BJP will make all efforts for gazette notification after the passage of this Bill in Rajya Sabha.  The members of these two sub-sects of the community can also enjoy the reservation benefits after the notification announcement, he added.

Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National BJP President Amit Shah have set the target of winning of 24 LS seats out of 28 in Karnataka, he said all BJP leaders including State Chief Yeddyurappa have been working in this direction to ensure the victory of party candidates in order to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister again for second term.  He exuded confidence that BJP will cross 300 seats in this poll.

Predicting that State Coalition Government will collapse by its own mistakes after the LS polls, he said that infighting that exists between the coalition partners would help the victory of BJP candidates in many constituencies including Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Chikkaballapur and Mandya.

“To avenge his humiliating defeat in Chamundeshwari Assembly segment, CLP leader Siddharamaiah is attempting to settle score in Mandya, Hassan and Tumakuru seats,” he alleged.

He said that people of Badami are cursing for electing Siddharamaiah for not initiating development works there and are also not happy with Siddharamiah on entering pact with JD(S).
