The Ayush Ministry observed ‘Surya Namaskar for Vitality’ on Friday in which more than one crore people from across the world, including India, performed the ‘yogasanas’ to keep themselves safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. On the occasion, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES)- Mysuru Assistant Director K. Suresh launched the Mass Surya Namaskar event at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city on Jan. 14 organised by the The Central and State Governments, in association with the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, DYES, Department of Information & Public Relations, AYUSH and Kannada & Culture Department, as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Over 200 students took part in the event which was held in the presence of AYUSH Department Dy. Director Dr. Seethalakshmi, Kannada & Cultrue Asst. Director H.
