Mysore/Mysuru: On account of 108th Jayanthi Mahotsava of Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji on Aug. 29, Suttur Mutt handed over a cheque for Rs. 1 lakh to Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysuru Zoo) on Friday, towards the expenses of one-day food of birds and animals housed in the Zoo.

Secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha S. Shivakumara Swamy and Prof. B. Niranjan Murthy handed over the cheque to Member-Secretary of Zoo Authority of Karnataka (ZAK) B.P. Ravi and Executive Director of Zoo D. Mahesh Kumar.

As the late Seer was an animal-lover, donation is given to feed Zoo animals on the day of Swamiji’s Jayanthi every year, according to a press release.
