Sweet shops gutted in fire

February 21, 2023

Nanjangud: Two sweetmeat shops on Chinnavarakatte Street adjacent to Bazar Street in the town have been destroyed in a fire set by two miscreants yesterday midnight.

The sweet shops belonged to Yogesh and Santosh. Residents, who saw the fire at the sweet shops, informed the shop owners and also the Fire Station.

As there was a delay in the arrival of Fire personnel, the family members, along with the public, managed to douse the fire.

Assistant Sub-Inspector from Nanjangud Town Police Station, who visited the spot, has collected footages of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the sweet shops and is investigating.
