Woman Constable commits suicide

Mysore/Mysuru: A woman Constable, who was suffering from illness, has committed suicide by hanging self at the Police Quarters in Jockey Quarters yesterday afternoon.

The deceased Constable is Geetha, attached to Nazarbad Police Station in city. It is learnt that Geetha was suffering from certain illness since a few months and despite treatment, the disease was not cured following which she was depressed and forced to take the extreme step.

Geetha was married 11 years back and has a daughter.

Nazarbad Inspector Santosh and staff, who reached the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.
