SWR Women’s Welfare Organisation conducts Annual Awards Day

Mysuru: South Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (SWRWWO) conducted its Annual Awards function recently at Railway Officer’s Club in Hubballi. A.K. Gupta, General Manager of SWR, was the chief guest.

Merit Scholarship Certificates, along with cash prizes amounting to Rs. 1,40,000, were distributed to 68 children of Railway Employees of both Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D,’ who have secured 85% and above in SSLC and 80% or more in other courses with 05% concession for the wards of Group ‘D’ employees. Besides, prizes were distributed to winners of drawing, painting and essay writing competitions.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepali Gupta, President of SWRWWO, emphasised that more and more children should be trained and encouraged to participate in competitions to achieve the best results.

Pallavi Raman, Joint Secretary of SWRWWO, Sunita Gupta, Treasurer of SWRWWO, Senior Officers of SWR and others attended the function.
